We had a really nice weekend here with temps in the 60's and sunshine. I geared up and took the scoot out for about a half hour run around the lake. This is the latest in the year that I've been able to ride I think. I may get out later today if the weather holds. It's currently 56 at 7 AM.

What 60's in PA? Somethings wrong? Did you forget your groundhogs when you left and moved?  Don't even say you sent them here! Tonight it's supposed to dip to the low 30's and Wed. night is forecated for the coldest day here yet at 28F. So far I haven't even covered my strawberrie yet and just last week picked some tomatoes still!  Still have some trees that haven't fully shed their leaves but remember the persimmon seed says snow = shovel! But for sure enjoy the ride for now while ya can! |

Sorry JR - it's 61 here at 6:30 this morning. Cooling off some later in the week. I heard they forecast snow for you folks.

Actually had a little north of here, but not a cloud in the sky here, high of around 50 today. Going to dip to below 30 tonight first time for me, still not cold enough to cover my strawberries yet. Getting ready and lots of hot soup!

Wow - it was so nice here on Thursday that I rode the scoot when I was out running errands! That's a new late season record for me!

ccprof , I do believe that it was last year at midnight I was ridding my scoot to bring in the new year. It was a cold 6 mile ride around the block but I can say I was on the scoot ( MC-54-250 B ) and maybe the first to bring in the new year on the 2 wheeler.

OK YOu guys just keep it up and not only will I be sitting on my scooter at 12:00:01 Jan. 01 2012  for the first ride I'll see if someone can gather up a few of those friendly groundhogs Cc left behind and head them your way!  Happy riding guys!  JR |

You've got to remember JR. we are 1 hour ahead of you. lol'S We would have already had our spin and headed for bed. Don't get tanked up before the riide CC. I might have a shot of wine. Main thing is : Don't forget to eat CORN BEEF AND CABBAGE ! It's a must...... Anyone have another food that has to be eaten on the first day of the year ? Let's have it. This could get interesting, maybe from around the world !
