I bought these 2" adjustable blind spot mirrors at the end of spring, one for each side. I would highly recommend these to anyone you drives a scooter, (a life saver). Bought them at Harbor Freight. Attachments:

I have seen these in most auto parts stores, Do they really help that much? I get a good view of my shoulders with the stock mirrors unless they are perfectly aligned. I thought about getting extenders but, this may be a better option. Caution, Objects in mirror are closer then they appear

I like these mirrors because when merging from a off ramp, I turn my head and look, but just before entering the highway I have that extra look, just in case I didn't see that car or truck coming down the highway. I really like these when changing lanes, it just gives you that extra safety knowing that no one is in that blind spot.

I remember I had a pickup once with these on it and at first I didn't like them but later on I used them just for what you mentioned in heavy city traffic when I traveled to large cities on my job.
They really helped when changing lanes! Nice find!

These are great mirrors, I like them. Saved my kister several times from pulling out and hitting someone in the blind spot. When another vehickle front end is at your front door you can't see it in a regular mirror, but with a small mirror like the one here , you can detect the vehickle in the blind spot. Butt saved ...

I use these on every vehicle I drive. They take a bit of getting used to but once you do you'll wonder how you got along without em.
