ok so im ridding home from work and all of a sudden my scooter gets real loud i think damn the weld cracked on the exhaust it happened before i get home check the exhaust the weld is fine follow it down looking for holes then i see where it bolts on to the engine one side is hanging down and there is a hole where there used to be a post to bolt on to wtf how does that drop out and can i just use a 6mm bolt to hold it back on

You can, but it must have the same identical thread that the exhaust stud has and not be too long. When you install the bolt(stud) make certain that you use red loc-tite on it to keep it from "dropping out" again. While you're under there you might consider checking the other stud and loc-titing it too. Don't run it like that. (with the exhaust leaking) You could burn exhaust valve up very quickly.

Most of the gy-6 exhaust studs are 6mm and I would only use a bolt to get buy until I got a proper stud in some caseds one can get one at the auto parts but they are at lot of places; absolutelyscooterparts.net/catalog/exhaust-stud-gy6qmb-p-348.htmlMy cure has always to put a double nut on them, tighten the firrst nut to it's needed tightness and then put on a locking back nut also.
