I took the scoot out for a short 15 mile ride this afternoon. The scooter is definitely quieter and vibrates less. It seems a little sluggish off the line but woooo hooooo, the acceleration has improved. It still feels like it needs to wear in for a while but I think I like it so far. Ernie ;D

Nice looking scooter there. Yes, sliders are the way to go.

I must be stupid. I tried putting the sliders in just the way the drawings and photos show but I can't seem to get it right. The second time was so bad, one of the sliders cracked. I loaded the variator back up with grease and reinstalled the original weights which work just fine. I think I'm cured!
