Personnally I think having the IDLE way up for it to start you are compensating for a carb that is not adjusted correctly. After it starts and warms up does the idle drop? Is your rear wheel spinning at it warms up? Alleyoop

Al , here in NYC stop and go traffic taxes the charging system . With the idle up high when standing still it keeps the charging voltage up . Since I turned the idle down and the change the weather . The morning cranking seems weak , maybe the battery is aging out its the one that came with the scooter January will be 2 years .

those led's are defiantly a help on making electrical power go further, but one thing some people over look is to install a led driving light for day use while switching off the regular head light. in the case of dual bulbs you might end up with an extra 60 watts of charging power while keeping the cops happy with a white light on the front. john

Thats cool, if you need it that high not a problem. You at least found a way to have it charge in the traffic. Yea I know what the traffic is in NY CABS as far as the eye can see(HAHA). Alley

well I got the new variator and installed it with the 13g sliders . It seems pretty good 7k @ 60 mph it is a lot harder to red line it . I just have to watch down hill . I would feel better if I could check it with gps .

Yep, if you put in 12G it would run around 7300 rpms which the motor makes its max power at 7500rpms. Or if you put in 12g ROLLERS it would also raise the RPMS to right around 7500 rpms. But if it is running 60mph at right around 7K that is nice. Alleyoop

I can use that during the day and my dual headlights are 35w each , pull one bulb and put in one hid for night riding . John

WHAT the hey you had it open all you had to do is mark it, you don't have to take it off just reach back there and mark it 1/2 x 1/2 and then run the shit out of it then you will know for sure(HAHA). If the mark if 1/4 or more you can get more top end If its about 1/8 from the edge that is all she wrote and it then will depend on the RPMS turning it faster. Alley
