I found a M6 X 23mm bolt which it looks like it fell from the right side of the scooter. It looks like the bolts that hold on the valve covers but not shiny chrome, rather sort of olive drab color. I have been scouring the parts diagrams but I can't see where it came from.
One thing for sure is the loud rapping noise under accelleration is not the center stand.
Any ideas where this bold belongs?

how bout the CVT cover bolt? no the center stand doesn't have a bolt. ,remove the right side plastic and start investigating...just pray that it's not the chain tensioner.. but 2 pieces of advice,,..change your riding habits and avoid bumpy roads. keep us posted, we're interested to know where that freakin' bolt came from.

This bolt uses a 10mm socket or wrench? if so there are several places that this type bolt is used to hold plstic, first thing that comes to mind is the top belly cover over the gas tank. Under the metal foot boards there are several of just these bolts. Also if I remember right the fan/radiator bolts up with just such a bolt along withe the fuel pump.
Gonna have to start a looking and a rattle is a good indicator of why this bolt is now not in place.

It uses a 8mm wrench. I'm not up on metric sizes but I measured the threads diameter and bolt thread length. Looks like gas tank or foot rest brace. I had it out for a long ride today and since I arrived home safely, I'm not going to worry about it until I get the itch to play in plastic. Ernie

Here is the culprit. I can't see another bolt in the whole scooter like it. Attachments:

Looks just like the bolts that bolt up the radiator fan assembly, there are four.

Mine has bolts with larger heads holding the radiator on and there are four of them. Assuming you are right JR, it seems like it would be damned difficult for that bolt to work its way all the way back along the belly pan before it could fall out. I can't see any way it could fall out the front around the radiator. I had the whole damned thing apart this morning and I didn't see another bolt like it in the whole scooter. Maybe it fell out of my car which parks in approximately the same spot sometimes. Ernie

They use different bolts sometimes on these sometimes Ernie and the reason I remembered the radiator bolts is I did a cooling mod removed the fan and radiator and reconized that bolt for my radiator.
But that doesn't mean it is on yours though because the Chinese can for sure mix and match sometimes. But it could easily work it's way back from the radiator as the belly pan does slightly lean back and going down the road makes bolts move around and it probably fell out while you were idling in your garage.
Also of note sometimes the Chinese have bolts left over and they end up in all kinds of places, you know kind of like when you're putting something back together and you just got that one bolt that's left! LOL!
I've stripped scooters doing a PDI and had all kinds of stuff fall out! LOL

You said you have a rapping noise under accelleration, I had the same thing happened to me in May of this year, my buddy and I decided to do a valve adjustment on it and discovered that the main nut on my top valve came off, we find it in the bottom adjuster, thank God, I was lucky, so you my want to check that out. Richard
I had the exact same thing happen to me when I did my first valve adjustment. I found the little devil laying in the exhaust valve cover.
I made sure I tightened them next time and it runs too good for a lifter to be floating.
Thanks
Ernie

As I was sitting on the bike after changing the oil, pondering what the heck the thing is that fell out of the crankcase into the oil pan, I noticed a bolt missing from the right throttle/handbrake collar. You guessed it...a perfect match for the mystery bolt. Of course, this couldn't have happened before I tore the whole scooter apart! thppppppppppppppp!!!!!! Ernie
