Finally got the Magnum back from Mr Fixit after two months, allegedly with a new stator. It's destined for Craigslist as soon as possible, but on the ride home I found yet another problem. It starts and runs fine at lower rpm and speed, up to about 40 mph or so. Also runs fine at near-WOT rpm when in neutral. But under load, once it gets above 40 mph or so, the engine starts to miss. Once it drops down to lower speed, all good again. (Note that at the moment it has no muffler installed, exhaust is coming straight off the header pipe. Don't know if that is relevant.)
So clearly I need to solve that if I want to sell if for a reasonable price. What should I be looking at as the culprit?

Put it back together and if the miss is still there I'd be suspect of the carb slide diaphragm having a small pinhole or crack it'll probably be cured by the exhaust ,,,then jettison that thing,,,what a pain in the a$$ that thing has been,,,wow
