My 2012 Magnum requires a FLEXIBLE section in the exhaust system between the steel exhaust pipe and the muffler (two, actually, one on each side). The OEM part was a steel mesh type hose which didn't last very long; I replaced that with a section of coiled metal sheathing, the kind used for heavy electrical cables, but I haven't been able to get a good seal on that, size is wrong (1 1/4", need 1 1/2").
Knowing Ice Bear, they probably want $100 apiece for this darn thing, so I've been looking for a DIY substitute but have had no luck. Automotive sources like Auto Zone and muffler shops don't have anything that small, plumbing and electrical and cycle sources also no luck so far. Can anybody suggest a possible source for this material? Don't need much, only two pieces roughly 6" long, but am striking out so far.
Well, it seems linking is blocked from being posted. So to get to the tubing site, you'll need to copy the link and replace the "raspberry" blowing smiley with the usual letter w 3 in a row in its place. (you may need to end up retyping the whole thing in your browser to get it to work.
