Simple test.
(1) Turn on key (2) Press front brake and hit the start button, if brake light works then scooter will start. (3) Kill scooter and repeat on rear brake handle, if light doesn't work and scooter will not start then:
pull the two wires connected to the switch and jump them, turn on key see if brake light works and scooter will start, if so replace switch, if not then
pull off front windshield cover and windsheild and find the two to one connector for the black wire which is 12 volts and the yellow/green wire two to one connector and make sure they are all plugged in.
There is no adjustment on this scooters switch, it works or it doesn't so check out these things and go from there and remember if you need a switch be sure to order the right one either left or right.

Thanks JR, Do I use a wire connecting the two together without pluging them in? If I didn't have you guys, I don't know what I would do. hopefully as I learn I too can pass it on. Rich

Yes just any kind of little copper wire that will make good contact heck might even use a paperclip! Just unplug the two wires to the switch and jump them with something, don't let it touch a ground or the body as it is 12 volts and we don't want any sparks of blown fuses! LOL

JR, Did you simple test: pulled wire connecters off switch, jumped it nothing, the right one works fine, never took off windshield cover before, I've had everything else off but that. have any pictures on how to take this off?

store.oohla.com/storefiles/terminatorscooter//download/accessory/27312/zzsms.pdfRemove #5 four little screws then #2 which is windsheild and then #1 top cover which will expose the wires. The brakes have two wires a black and yellow/green. The blake is your 12 volts with the key on and the yellow green is the wire going to the brake light and your stasrter solenoid. Now there are two brake handles and both the black and the yellow green plug into a 2 to one type bullet connector down to one single wire. Since one side works and the other side doesn't and you junped this switch with no change then it's certain one of those wires has came out of the plug or is broke. JR
