On my 250B, how do you know when to change the clutch pads. Do you go by miles, or when it feels like it is slipping? I was having a little problem, so I took the cover off and found my bell housing nut was loose. While I was in there I cleaned everything up, and noticed the clutch pads were kinda thin. not sure how thick they were new. Also, I ordered some dr pulley slider weights and looking to get a new belt too. What is a good belt to get? The bike has 3200 miles and thought I would just replace the belt while I had her apart. Its a 856-23-30.

Gates Powerlink belt and it should still have plenty of miles left at only 3200. I didn't change mine until over 8k and kept it for a back up spare. Don't know if you can buy just the pads? Never have seen just the pads separate? But you can buy the whole assembly:

Do double check the number of teeth and make sure you get the right one, the sister scooter 250 with the vertical engine has a different clutch.
