Thanks ellpee, I just did a visual on your chart and it look much like what I already have. I saved it to disk so I can get to it later.
I am having another disaster as my printer has decided to die this week. I have been to printer repair place and the word I got was for my older Brother, any replacements and repairs would add up to more than a decent replacement at today's prices. I have done some reading on the web and about the same conclusion come back. I tried a couple tricks and ideas others have offered but this old Brother just sits there and says it needs more toner. Even when I put new toner in it wants new toner and will not work. I had a Canon prior to the Brother and it would print even when a toner bottle was empty. But not good old Brother, it just thinks the toner is empty and won't allow anything at all to happen.
Boy, I sure like these newer and better ideas we have. Something wrong, it just stops while other products try to struggle along.
So I will need to get a new printer. Some are really cheap and at about $30 and it looks like lots of features can be had at around $60. Get over $100 and they seem to want to do many tricks including both side printing and hold an entire ream of paper.
So I may wait till I get back from Colorado to buy that printer of my desires and then can work on my scoot once again with wire diagrams and time to do what needs to be done. I hope wife will be home by then so I have more time to fix my mess. Will take off the covers again and start with the regulator thing and then move to the front, till I find and correct my problem.

Today, interesting things have happened. I am packed and just killing time till morning when I drive of towards Colorado. So I went back to my scoot, reinstalled the new switch for the lights. This time I can click to left or right and that is all I get. If I click right I get right and if I then push in on the lever they go off. I was getting both lights flashing, now either direction or off, as I expected them to do.
I bit of happiness for this result. I don't understand what has happened as I am using the same wires I removed, attached the same way as before, but now a different response. I used the same wires and the same connections intentionally as I was hoping to recreate the problem and have something to work on.
Leaving in the morning so for now I just leave things be as they are. It will be a week till I can get back to being a scooter fixer again.

Sounds like progress, though it also sounds like maybe the old switch was okay in the first place, not what you want to hear after all your aggravation with Roketa.com or whatever they were. When you say "the same wires I removed" it makes me wonder, since removing the old switch assembly and installing a new one should have been a straight-up plug-out, plug-in deal. Anyhow, keep all here posted. I'm at the dummy+1 level on electrical stuff, but others get it way better than I do.

The wife is still in the nursing facility and getting treatments for blood clots and whatever else. Still said to be improving but not ready yet to come home. Nearly a month now.
OK, back to trying to put my scoot back together again. Over a month with part on tables in garage, screws in cups to help put these things back on scooter. Big problem as I don't remember the sequence of removal and which is first to go back on. So progress is slow, and sometimes a second time removal as first things need to be first. So I have some things to try but then must change as I find another panel that should have been first.
It appears that at least so far the lights now are operating properly. The voltmeter is also working properly. I will keep on watching how things are doing as I add on more panels. May have it back to working soon. Need that to happen soon as the temps here will soon go into the hundreds and that means I won't be able to ride any more till later in the summer.
How long? It depends on how much time the wife may need. Lots of things to learn now. Like laundry for example. Two trips per day to nursing place to pick up or deliver, to listen to doctors and nurses and trainers. She does seem to be coming along better now. Here is hoping for the better way to return to home.
