I think this is a generic question, not specific to my MC-54B-250 Roketa. I've noticed that when I have it on a sloped surface and put it on the center stand with the engine running, the idle slows down considerably, sometimes to the point where it quits running. It's not really a problem, starts right back up, and no problems when actually driving up and down hills, but I'm just curious: is there something about carburetors that would explain this? Or some other component of the fuel system? (Fuel tank level makes no difference -- full or near empty, same behavior.)

carburetor float --don't know how to adjust it,but sounds like it is not letting fuel fill the bowl up to proper levels--just saying--good luck, fflintstone

The float can be ok, it is the angle of the slope which will cause the gas level to UNCOVER the jets and not able to suck fuel out. Alleyoop

Likely is the float level. But that adjustment is a can of worms you don't want to open if everything else is good. I played with mine when I had my cutoff at speed issue. It took me hours to get it back right. It is VERY sensitive.

Not something I'm going to try to adjust out, as I wrote, it's not really a problem, I was just curious. Only happens under rare circumstances, and if it quits, it fires right back up.

HAHAHA, happens more so on gravity fed system if you happen to stop going up a hill going down no problem but going up no fuel to the carb.
