Hey guys, I was riding my linhai 250 and the back end felt a little fishy. When I would accelerate or brake the back end felt like it shifted. I got it into my garage. The motor and entire back end swayed about an inch from side to side. About 5K miles ago I changed the head gasket and had to drop the engine so I thought maybe the motor mounts were loose. I took the back end apart and sure enough both motor mounts on the top were loose as well as the main bolt that goes through the top of the engine. I tightened everything up. There is still about a quarter inch of side to side movement. Is that normal or could the main bolt be bad. There are rubber bushings in the motor mounts so it may be OK. I just thought I would throw it out there and see what everyone thought. If that needs to be replaced, does anyone know where I can get that assembly (the bolt, nuts, and the bushings)?

So I put it back together and took it for a ride. The back end sway is not quite as noticeable but it is still there. I think I need to change the motor mount bushings. I would definitely feel safer riding. Does anyone know where I can find a set of motor mount bushings for a linhai mp250a scooter? I've seen lots for 150's and lower but haven't found any for my scooter.

Make sure you have 36-40psi air in the rear tire.

I had the same problem with the 2 -250B's I have..I put big washer in the mount as spacers & that was like 3 years ago & it is still holding up...I looked for some bushings, with no luck....The washer trick worked great...Make sure your using blue thread lock on the treads....Good luck...Bob
