The airbox on my 2012 Magnum is prone to vibrating loose over time due to some broken fastening tabs; I just did a little creative modification so I could re-secure it. That got me wondering about doing away with the airbox and replacing it with some kind of clamp-on aftermarket air filter. Problem is, I don't want to start a modification daisy chain where I then have to tweak the carb or the exhaust system or the valve settings or whatever. Anybody know how I can determine that an aftermarket air filter will be the performance (airflow) equivalent of my OEM airbox? Do they have any kind of ratings or other specs that would help me shop?

A K&N filter works good that is what I have on mine, depending on how much air is being let in a minor change on the carbs MAIN JET ONLY may be required, but that is very easy to do. A Uni lets to much air in and makes a lot of noise. Alleyoop
