hi . hello from a newbie in west coast of Scotland. I'm what you would call a late learner at the age of 49 and just learning to ride on the road, and loving it . I'm riding a Piaggio Hexagon LX4 125cc 2003 and i love the larger frame as my 1st scooter last year was a baotian bt125 which i enjoyed but the frame was too small for my comfort. I'm looking forward to keeping up-to date with this site as I'm sure i will learn lots to help me with the upkeep of my hexagon and keep it on the road. keep up the good work with this site cheers.... Ian

Welcome from across the water! Guess when I bought and rode a scooter for the first time? When I was 61! You are still a pup! Our department of motor vehicles here in the states has a 3 day motorcycle saftey course. I took it. It was good. If they have something similar in Scotland, I would suggest you take it. I learned a lot.
I have a 250 cc cheap chinese (lol) bike. A roketa 54B. Love it. Btw, You found the best forum on the net as far as scooters are concerned. JR (site owner and admin) is a genius when it comes to bike maintance and repair. Welcome!

Welcome Ian. That is a pretty scoot. I'm sure you will have many happy miles on it. I have visited your country a couple of times when I was in the Navy. My duty was in Edzell which is no longer active. A couple of my friends and I as a designated driver drove completely around Scotland and I must admit it is a beautiful country. It's just hard to stay on the wrong side of the road. Never did try the haggis.
