I put a new electric choke on my JCL MP-250A and the idle went up to 4,000 rpm. The choke is loose on its mounting. Both screws are as tight as they can get but choke is still loose. Sounds like it's sucking air and leaning out.
I reinstalled the old choke and ended up with the exact same problem. Choke is loose enough to wiggle with fingers and idle up to 4,000 rpm.
I have obviously made an error in reinstalling the choke but I don't know what it is. I remember the choke being tight in its mounting before I replaced it.
Any ideas?
Ernie

Make sure your needle is going down in the hole the right way and make sure the O ring is on the enricher, when putting enricher in carb give it a twist.

I think you did not put it down far enough and you "C" clamp is in the wrong slot on the ENRICHER. Here is a pic of where the "C" clamp should be and it should be even with the top of the bore. Alleyoop

HAHAHAHA, well there should be a STEENKING one there and if missing that is your problem that is what seals it so it does not leak. Alleyoop
