I got a 2011 eagle scoot 150cc. just put new motor in it, new speedo and new battery new starter relay, new cdi box. but know my battery is dead after 2 days. it started fine yesterday and the day before, went to start it today and got nothing. So I tested the batter and it only had like 5 volts. what could it be? oh this is the 3rd battery.!

Did you ride it during the two days and for how long? The charging system on these scoots is not the best and if you just rode it for a short period of time the battery would not get charged up especailly if you stop here and there and shut it off and restarted it. Starting the scoots takes a lot of juice out of the battery also headlights. So what say you. Alleyoop

The Battery put it on charge does your scoot have a volt meter on it? Do you have a multi meter to test the battery? If so start the scoot and check your battery with the VOLT METER and rev it up and see if the Reading on the volt meter go up to say at least 13+ volts with the rpms up at least 4-5k.
As far as your fuel gauge maybe you connected the wires wrong try switching them. Alleyoop

Bad rectifier? Pretty sure it's easy to test; just need to get at it (under front cover???). With bike running, see if the WHITE wire ( ) gives off voltage. Bad magneto?

Sounds like your charging system is not charging and you probably need a new REGULATOR/RECTIFIER. But you guys need a MUTLI METER to make sure that is the problem. GO to harbor freight and pick one up they are like 6 bucks and then test the battery sitting there it shuld read 12.5-12.7 volts. Then if you start the motor and rev it up it should read 13+ volts if it doesn't then your Regulator/Rectifier is bad and not charging the battery. Alleyoop
