I've dumped my 2011 Roketa three times now -- last time not so bad, my back took the brunt of it instead. But I digress: in each case the left side got banged up, and victim #1 was always that darn front turn signal bubble. It sticks out just enough that if the scoot falls over, it's going to get at least scratched up, and possibly broken. Ka-Ching, another 75 bucks for the light unit and Roketa's stupid, wildly over-priced decorative cover.
So ... has anybody ever modified a Roketa, or scooter with similar turn signal "architecture," so the front turn signals are somewhat more out of harm's way? The electrical part is simple enough that I could probably jury-rig it and make it work, but if there's a nifty conversion kit or something out there that produces an aesthetically pleasing end result, please post info here. If all else fails Bondo is my friend, right up there with Gorilla Glue, but the less fabrication-from-scratch I have to do, the happier I'll be.
