Mild upgrades... A little better performance, ive seen that some upgrades are good to make just because of inferior parts, but ive already ordered new performance cdi coil and spark... Ive seen some talk on replacing airfilter.".but really looking for simple improvements than can be made without having to take apart the engine..mostly "plug n play" type of improvements

tvnacman.blogspot.com/Can we see what cdi you bought ? The variator is a nice help , but needs to be matched to rider weight and terrain . I call most HP CDI'S hype performance . John

Are you looking for more TOP END SPEED, MORE GET UP AND GO from the START etc.. Each type requires different flavors of things so you have to be specific. Alleyoop

Got to tell you if your 150 MC hits 55-60 already that is EXCELLENT and especially at your weight. Most 150s will not go beyond 55 some maybe 50-52 etc.. Does your have a tach on it if so what rpms does it say it at TOP END SPEEDS? To get some more get up and go it would need more rpms Lighter weights but not to light otherwise you will loose top end speed. Alleyoop

tvnacman.blogspot.com/That coil is good the cdi is a hype porformance . Based on your weight I agree with Alley on the lighter roller/slider weights and a 115mm variator . You need to figure out what your top RPM is and remove the rollers and weigh them , then we need to reduce the weight sometimes mixing weights works well . We can help you through this , and I have the real deal parts . John

These are the things I ended up replacing on my 150cc GY6. I wish I had done them all at once. It is the standard list:
1. Gas lines - remove and replace with Goodyear brand 2. Vacuum line - same 3. Petcock - remove vacuum controlled petcock and replace with manual petcock with reserve. 4. Spark plug - replace with NGK 5. Spark plug wire - replace with higher quality cable 6. Coil - replace with higher quality coil 7. Carburetor - replace with good Japanese carb. 8. Battery - remove YTX5-BS and replace with a YTX9-BS to eliminate starter issues. 55 CCA vs. 130 CCA. 9. Fuel Filter - replace with a clear view filter from a major brand.
Once these things were done I could start looking at improvements, like a phone charger, and theft recovery GPS unit.

The best upgrade to make on a scooter is to add a Flux Capacitor
