Anyone have/thought about permanently mounting solar panels to their scoot to keep the battery topped up?
This Q; is for folks that don't have a garage, or live where there is open parking only.
If mounted somewhere like the trunk, one could sew a clear panel into the cover so it would still get plenty of light. _

tvnacman.blogspot.com/I thought about this , I found the charging system upgrade to be about the same effort and more stable . You just need to run the engine twice a month to keep the battery charged . John

Good read Alley, even though I did know about most of that anyway. - What I was thinking about using the solar panels for, was staving off discharge during something like no riding for 7-10 days 21- max.
For longer periods I'd remove the battery bring it in. ( I live @ a apartment complex, so no cords on parking lot.)
Of course winter charging isn't likely, due to lack of sun, snow, & length of daylight.
