Not really I'm actually going to a oral surgeon in about 15 minutes. I've always had major trouble with my lower false teeth. Won't stay still hardly can eat with them so this morning they are going to knock me out and drill 3 holes in my lower jawbone and screw in 3 titanium studs that when all is over will allow me to snap my lower teeth in each day to anchor them where I can eat properly.
Going to be soup and Ice cream for a spell! Wish me luck and if I'm gone for a day or two I'm sure all will understand.

Thanks for the thought. I've just got up from a looooong nap. They started at 7:30 this morning and was done about 8:30. So far the soreness is sitting in badly. Have managed to eat a bowl of noodle soup. Hanging in there and be glad when I can feel my face.

Will do Flint. This is a slow process. First of all the studs are just below the gum line right now. Healing time varies but even after they heal with no soreness they want 5 to 6 months to pass before they start the teeth fitting process. Reason? Bone excepts and grows/fuses to titanium and they want the jaw bone to be solidly grown/fused to the studs before and pressure is applied.
After this period passes I go back and they split the gum a tiny bit to expose the studs then fit the snap in part to them and you go immediately to your dentist that day after the snaps are installed and he makes a mold for a pattern to make the other part of the snap to your false teeth. You let them heal for a couple of weeks and then go back to the dentist to then have your newly fitted in my case bottom teeth with the other part of the snaps put in. He also does any adjustments necessary to make sure they snap in properly.
My top teeth plate is fine, never have any issues with it, put a little cream on it and it'll never move at all but my bottoms are so bad you could put a 5 gallon bucket of cream on and it wouldn't matter.
Now I will put a tad on for padding comfort and put them on the studs and just press and snap, when it's time to remove them just put your thumb under the front and snap them out.
They did give me plenty of antibiotics and pain medication plus mama bought me plenty of soup and ice cream!
She made a big pot of chicken and dumplings tonight and mashed them up for me and man they were good!

Yep, that is not fun, my wife has a partial on the bottom that snaps in and out. on her they opened up her gums and she looked like Frankenstein with all the stitch's in her mouth and yes it takes a while before your ready to byte into an apple and not leave your teeth in it.. Good luck Jack Alleyoop
