Hi All!!!!!! I recently purchased a non working 150cc Cadenza. Long story short I got it to work and was a tad disappointed when I took it for a spin and it only topped out at 55mph I read these can reach an upwards of 60mph. Is there anything I can do to get it to reach a greater top speed? ? Thanks!!

Yes there are a few non-expense mods you can do to milk another 3 or 4 mph out of her or you can put on a BBK, just depends on what you want to do or spend? JR

Not too sure if I want to put a big bore kit on it. But what would some of the cheaper alternatives be? Would putting a better cdi benefit?? or if I clean out the carb could that work?

Cleaning the carb will never hurt anything. Up jetting the carb and a little more air through a better flow filter will get a touch. Changing the roller weights and even going to sliders may add a touch also. If your belt is the 835 length then going to a 842 length will add a tad. A tad here and a tad there will add up to 4 to 5 more mph is some cases. Even running the tires at a higher PSI for less friction will help.
Again all depends on what you want to do and spend? The above things I mentioned all together less than $50 if bought in the right places.

Since you bought it used, and it is currently hitting 55mph, I would look at the Weights in the CVT they probably have flat spots on them and are not pushing the variator out far enough to move the belt up higher in the Variator. Also the belt could be worn (width wise). Alleyoop

I know one problem could be the weights could be dirty or worn causing that issue so that could be my whole problem right there. I do not have the proper tools to hold the variator in place while I undo the nut Any suggestion on how to do it without proper tools?

You can try putting on the wrench and socket on the nut and then hit the end of the socket wrench with a hammer. Alleyoop

If I have a 906 belt would going to a 842 still improve the speed?? You cannot go from a 906 to a 842 that is to great of a difference in length. a 906 is 35+ inchs long a 842 is 33+ inchs long. The MAX you should change a belt length is around 8mm. If you broke a fan blade you definitely where doing it wrong, you have to have a LONG WRENCH HANDLE so as not to be swinging and hittling the fan blades. I think you need to get some basic tools if your going to be riding a scooter otherwise it will cost you more breaking stuff and then having to buy new parts PLUS get tools to take the broken part off and putting a new one on. PAY ME NOW OR PAY ME MUCH MORE LATER. Alleyoop
