hi guys i think i found the problem when i put a wire inside the tank and pull the float to the right the gauges move up to its full position but as soon as i start the scoot the vibration sort of release it to the left then I'm on empty again will it help if i bend the wire that the float attached to, to the right slightly? Nightwing44 mentioned earlier about my float being position in the shallow part of the tank and need to be repositioned but I'm not sure how it should be done. i ask Nightwing44 but no respond yet any suggestions.

Sorry I have not been on much I AM SICKER than a DOG. I have a really bad cold and am hacking, sneezing and coughing. Been sleeping a lot and just down in the dumpster. But Feeling a little bit better it hit me Friday. I know exactly what the problem is happened to mind as well. You will have to take the the float assembly out. The problem is the wire that holds the Float that goes through the PLASTIC holder is LOOSE. It has a PUSH LOCKING WASHER to hold it tight. The Plate has brushs on the back of it and it has to make contact with the RESISTOR PLATE if it does not make contact it will not register. I have a spare float assembly and will take pictures and show you. I also wrote up a THREAD about it. .jr-richscooterdoc.com/Help_Float_repair_Alleyoop.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.jr-richscooterdoc.com/Help_Float_repair_Alleyoop.pdfHOT OFF THE STOVE with my fine picture taking Here is the float assembly and the brushs on the back plate that the actual float moves up and down and the resistor plate it makes contact with to make the gauge register. The problem is the plate is LOOSE against the Resistor plate and all you have to do is it tighten it up a little. Alleyoop

I agree with Ally. Since the unit is grounded internally you can check it out side of the tank plugged in with the key on. With the fuel sloshing around in your tank it gets a good workout it's expected not to last, so they don't make them tuff.
