150cc idles and runs great. Sometimes if I stop quickly and start up again it feel like it won't rev much and moves like a turtle ,If I back off and gun it I'm fine. Could this be the rollers wearing or sticking ?

could be could also be the Contra spring is not closing the pulley and belt is still low in the pulley. If its the Variator then the belt Variator is not opening to drop the belt down low So check both. Alleyoop

Well it is one of the two, so take the Variator off and make sure the weights are good also the PLASTIC guides they may be shot and causing the Variator to hang up and not open. As for the Clutch side you will have to take it apart and grease the pins on the slot in the sheave so that the pins slide in and out good and not hang up. So get a long rope Alleyoop

thanks , may be the right time to upgrade the rollers while I'm in there. Do you know the stock weight and what do I want for a little more throttle response. Not so much off the line but when I accelerate on the roll. thanks

Usually 150s run good with 11-12 gram weights I run 12 gram Dr. Pulley Sliders in mine. Alleyoop

The stock weight will be just an educated guess. All depends on what the Chinese had on the shelf that day. Best thing to do is pull it apart, clean them well and weigh them. If you don't have a gram scale go to the local post office and ask them to weigh them and convert ounces to grams. Weigh a couple individually then all of them together. Knowing what you really have will allow you to make a better decision on what to use. JR
