Yes that is the FUEL MIXTURE Screw. Turning it CLOCKWISE takes away FUEL turning COUNTER CLOCKWISE feeds it more fuel. To start turn it Clockwise until it stops do not force it the screw has a needle point on it and you don't want to flatten it. THEN turn it Counter Clockwise 2 1/2 turns that is a good starting point and will feed it enough fuel for starting and may even be right on but will not know that until it starts and you try it and see if it does not bog or hesitate. Alleyoop Follow this procedure to adjust the carb: Take your time, you want to find where it IDLES the highest when adjusting it. thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/3001/4-stroke-carb-tuning

In the morning I'm going to try and get things started on the bike. I had to find a flathead that I could use in the space for the fuel screw. I'm going to do that first before I try anything else. .

Alley I tried the fuel screw today but I didn't have any luck. Im going to the store to get a new spark plug and the brass connector. To me it sounds as if the bike isn't getting any spark...

Easy to test for spark, Take the spark plug out or if you have a spare one laying around TAKE the boot cap off the one on the motor and stick the spare one in. Then HOLD it against the VALVE COVER or motor NOT the frame(hold it by the rubber boot) and crank it over and see if it SPARKING. Alleyoop

Did you guys change that SHORT VACUUM LINE with the rips in it? Because if not it is not allowing fuel to flow from the Petcock or Fuel pump to the Carb and that could be your whole problem. Where is the tank in back of the seat HIGHER than the carb(Petcock) or is it in Front lower than the Carb(FUEL PUMP)? Alleyoop Very important that the VACUUM HOSES are not cracked and in good shape otherwise it will not create enough suction to work the DIAPHGRAM on the PETCOCK or FUEL PUMP to allow fuel to flow to the carb. TO TAKE THE EVAP OFF HERE IS ALL YOU NEED TO DO: CLICK ON THE PICTURE SO IT EXPANDS OUT AND YOU CAN READ IT BETTER:

We have changed all the hoses that had cracks in them. The fuel tank is in the front of the bike.

Cool, like my trike the tank is up in front as you can see in my picture of how I have the Vacuum line setup for the carb and the FUEL PUMP which you would also have. Alleyoop
