I heard from Rapid Jim. There may not be one in stock. If so, they'll have to build me one. I don't mind the wait cause this will ensure that I get the most current version. This should provide a little comfort to ya'll 'cause that shows the my issue is a fluke and they are not shipping many of them.

I have to say not a very fuzzy warm feeling if they don't know if one is in stock or not. I mean the parts manager should know what they have in the warehouse at all times and also be in their computer. And this build thing is probably they have to order one from china or use a trike as a parts trike. Alleyoop

Had the same thought. Rebuilding mine is not an option, as I am not permitted do that sort of thing here but it would be impossible to leave it in pieces in the parking lot. I live in one room and have no way to tear one down and store parts while I wait for parts to come in. Bet they wouldn't have the parts anyway. Haven't got a price/shipping quote yet either.

Back in early 2009 when I had ordered 2 PST150H Trikes one for me and one for my brother-in law I ran into the axle moving out. I called and complained and told them what was happening. I also drew a picture of how to permenatly fix the problem so the axle would not move at all. They told me they would have to order one from china and it would take some time. So in the mean time I tore it apart and figured out how to fix it myself. Well 3 months passed and I got a email saying they are shipping me a complete axle but had to pay $85.00 for shipping I gave them my credit card and got the axle. I opened the box did not even take it out just unwrapped part of it and did not pay any attention I just wrapped it back up and hauled it down in my basement. Then one day I opened it up and LOW AND BEHOLD it was an axle for the 50cc Trikes with only TWO mounting brackets the 150s have 4 mounting brackets(HAHA). Alleyoop

I do not want to make Rapid Jim any extra issues as I did purchase mine from another vendor, but whenever I contact Ice Bear directly, they forward it to him anyway. I would assume that he is the US distrubtor. He has been extremly helpful! I would prefer to order from him because I know it must be hard to compete with the internet vendors who don't really care once the check clears.
I guess if I can't get the Axle I can always hook a trailer to the hitch and plant flowers in it. It's early yet. I'll wait and see what Rapid Jim can do before I panic.

That's true for most, but there are always a few days where I can ride here in TX. In fact here in the DFW area, summer hear is more of an issue than cold for me. You are correct, though. There won't be a lot of days when I want to get out there and wrench. Rapid Jim is doing a great job of keeping me informed, so I don't feel like I'm treading water and looking for a rescue vessel yet.

I spoke with Jim at Rapid repair, so this should be my last entry on this thread. Let me start by saying that Rapid repair is one of the best on-line vendors I've ever used and if you're in the market for an Ice Bear trike, it's well worth the money to buy from a real store front operation like his.
The axle is in stock in the US! Jim was able to get me a little break so the total cost with shipping was about $335. Yeah, I know it's a lot of money but the other option was to scrap the scooter. When the axle arrives and weather permits, I'll start a new thread and try to post pictures of the install.
My thanks to all who read and provided support for this thread.

Great to hear Steve and $335.00 shipped that is a good price believe me. Those suckers are heavy and shipping runs over $50.00 Most others want closer to $400.00 bucks shipped. Can't go wrong with JIM he will try his dam-nest to fix anyone up. If you ever seen him Tall Lanky Dude in his shop you know he is a wrench-er HE IS COVERED from HEAD TO TOE in GREASE and OIL, Very Nice Man, I know I was there in his garage(HAHA). He had TWO HOT-ROD trikes he was working on TWO big trikes they both had Volkswagen engines in them.
He uncovered and showed me his pride and joy If memory serves me right a 1955 Chevy he and his son customized very nice also showed me his Harley Hog. Alleyoop

Wonder if Jim has ever considered moving his shop to AZ or NM? Darn cold up there this time of year (says ellpee as he sits in Ruidoso, looking forward to two days of heavy snow this weekend). No snow in Tucson though, at least not below 4000' or so. Sit on your patio and gaze up at the snow-capped mountains, then go scootering.

55 is good. Never understood the love people have for the 57. My dream project would be a 57 Indian Chief or a 49 to 53 Chevy. 57 Indian Chief is the most beautiful thing ever built by man in any category!

I built a 53 5 window Chevy truck. I bought it for $750 and figured I'd rebuild the motor and be good to go. Took 2 years and $14,000!
