I bought two mopeds, and i got no registrations with them. they both have registration stickers, one expired in 2016 and other expired this year. I have bill of sale for them. What can i expect when i take them up to the secretary of state here in michigan? I bought a 1967 ped awhile back and ofcourse it didnt have anything and i got a new registration without too many issues. but what about these? Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem, do you have the titles for them? They are not very strict on mopeds like they are on 50+cc motors which they then require special license to ride them. Alleyoop

Well the no title bit could be a problem I know in Illinois it would be a problem. Why did you buy without a title, the norm is NO TITLE you walk. Alleyoop

well i think here in michigan you have to apply for one, and its not cheap(100 is i think) and well you don't need titles for 50cc scooters. im heading up there tomorrow after i get out of work so we will see what happens. hopefully it all works out. actually i was thinking and what they do is a vin inspection. then the police department runs the vin to make sure everything is good than title/registration is issued after fees are payed. i think thats how it works
