Not to be nitpicky, but if it's a Honda you might find more wisdom in the "non-Chinese" classroom.
But that being said, my Chinese Roketa has at least some things in common with the Honda Helix, so I'll chime in. I found my fusebox, under the seat, to be pretty chintzy; fuses were cheapo, slots for fuses were low quality. Had to reach underneath and hold the various connectors in the proper position while inserting the fuses to be sure I got a good connection. I ultimately replaced the whole fuse box with a better-quality one from AutoZone or somewhere. I don't know if your scoot even has a fuse box, but your some-things-work-and-some-don't story would lead me to take a good hard look at the fuse box, if you have one.

I think I have narrowed it down to the multi connecter were the main loom splits and goes the different switches and speedo when I move these connecters I have different things coming on and off .

thank you yes I have a manual, the multi connecter seems to be in a bad way looks like its overheated at some time, and the plugs don't look much better, I have done away with the multi connecter and sniped the plugs off, looking for some way to connect them now .

The metal could be numerous things, bearing, piston, etc. Check to see if it can be picked up with a magnet, as in is it aluminum or steel? Was it large amounts?
The plastic? Now that's one I got to think on? It is either brown because it matches the item that it came off of or because it has heated up and turned that color?

thanks for your reply jr I done a compression test on the engine and it was down to 75 ib, so it looks like engine out and the old one back in for now, this shows you have to be very careful on fle bay the engine was advertised as a helix 250 engine from the owners scooter that was written off the engine was suppose to be in very good condition and serviced regularly at a Honda dealers, bought it because my own engine was a bit tired .

If I rebuilt it I would consider the 300cc bib bore kit for it.
