Trike stalled out on me 2 times today.Spark plug is very slightly brown. There was a new battery put in it before I got the trike from my sister back in February. The original owner installed a CD/radio. It seems when ever I am cruising the road with Radio on the battery indicator goes from 5 bars to 3 out of 8 bars total and the radio was on every time it has stalled. Today it stalled 2 times. I turned everything off and it took about 5 tries to get engine started. The trike also wants to bog down on certain hills. I know that these are two different issues. The original owner also put extra stop lights in the rear box reflectors, as well as red LED lights along both sides just below the seat. I know the original owner had a lot of Pa Dutch in him it took me 3 or 4 weeks going over the electrical system replacing connectors and spade terminals. When I first got the trike it would not start, the reason was bad battery terminal ends. I believe a new larger battery might solve the problem, I think... Looking for suggestions. ( Buy the way The valves are set at around 4 thousands.) I only have 2600 miles on it 700 are mine.

That is not good the Radio is draining your battery. The charging system is not able to keep up. Now most likely the reason it is dying on you is because yours probably has a DC CDI which is fed off the battery. So when the radio sucks up most of the juice from the battery it does not have enough to fed the CDI TO FIRE THE PLUG.
To check if yours has a DC CDI, turn the key on and check the BOTTOM WIRE ON THE TWO PLUG of the CDI if it registers 12V it is a DC CDI. If you have a 12V LIGHT tester just ground the wire and touch the wire if it LIGHTS up it is a DC CDI.
So I would disconnect the RADIO and see how much better the charging system stays up there.
If you still want it on I would put a TOGGLE SWITCH and only have it on when your at speeds. The stator produces more electricity at faster revolutions. Alleyoop

It is (Radio/player) on it own power supplied switch directly from the battery. When the switch is on is the only way the stereo will power up. The problem with that is you can not safely power on the radio as it is in the front lower storage compartment. Do you think a battery with more storage capacity would do the trick? May be an additional battery run parallel ? I am a rather large person @ 275 lbs I don't like to run WOT any longer than I absolutely have to. That said I will always take the back road. I live in a pretty rural area I like the roads with 45mph and under. I will do any and everything to keep her on the road (with in reason). I have no need for speed at that point in life. No need to hurry. Just enjoying the road and views.

Move the switch up front by the front panel. I installed a fm radio, with mp3 and sd card that I have recorded about 100 songs on it. But I put a toggle switch up front down below the handlebars and can turn the power on or off anytime even while riding. Alleyoop

Alley, Where did you get that radio? Been looking on line. The one installed on my trike draws two much power. Its actually a, in dash mount car radio/ CD player. It is in the left hand side of the upper storage box. Its a major PIA to turn on and impossible to use while riding, with the storage lid hinging down,to access it... It is wired to a power switch on the front dash, when the battery gets to 3 bars I have to kill power or I'll stall. There is no restarting radio ,changing stations or volume the radio while riding.
