Just came back from an hour ride and as I was about to make a turn I put on the turn signal and nothing. Arrived home and checked all fuses, they are OK. No headlight, no horn, no signal lights. Put down kickstand and parking stand light on, but when taking key out light remained on but dim. Key is out yet tail lights are on . I have disconnected battery to save power. Any suggestions.....

That sure sounds like the FUSE on the wire from the battery going to your KEY is blown. Because those are the things that work just with the key on which are feed from the battery.
Now don't just look at the fuse and say it looks good REPLACE it, they may look good but are bad. Alleyoop

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Checked fuse it appeared OK, but just in case I replaced it. Same problem. My feeling is that there is a short somewhere and I'm leaning toward the radio. I do remember turning it on during the ride for a short time. This was an add-on radio I installed several months ago. The way it works is that there is a hot lead going to it for the digital and memory display. To turn radio on the key must be on and radio power button on. If key is turned off radio goes off. Well now after turning key off radio still on.This is why I think there is a short.

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]And here is another bit of information....after starting up the scoot and then turning ignition switch off the combo meter still stays on showing zero miles per hour, trip meter shows mileage, gas supply and temp and I hear a click noise when turning key off from from cowling... I'm wondering if there is a relay that is not turning off???

Well I put on a radio as well on my ride BUT I hooked it up to the battery then put a TOGGLE switch in front. So the radio will only get juice if I want it on. Otherwise no juice to the radio with the Toggle switch off. You should disconnect it and hook it up to the battery with a off and on toggle switch much safer. Hooking in to something that already gets juice may cause things to burn up when something else on that line is taking part of the juice. Alleyoop

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]You are not going to believe this.....last night I disconnected the battery and left it off all night long, this morning I went to investigate the problem again and connected the battery. Well to my surprise I turned the key on and everything worked fine. Head light Ok tail lights OK, combo meter OK, turn signals OK, horn OK....... Radio digital display OK, starting engine OK. I did not turn radio on.....( keeping in mind what you said about your radio set-up ). So now what do you think was the problem. Is there an on - board computer that had a glitch in it ?? or has the black cloud moved onto someone else ?

Grayfox, you know sometimes something electronic in your house acts up and it you unplug it for a while or overnite the next day its fine (I have a dishwasher like that). I don't know anything about your style scooter (have a JCL MP250a with linhai 257 engine) but with all your electronics on dash I would say you do have a small processor and it just may have been confused and had to be unplugged for a while. I think I would just ride it and see how it does. If it happens quite often then you may have a further problem. If not and it's ok, that's probably the cheapest repair you will ever make. let us know how it does. Barnie
