Well, took scoot to work, notice the head lifghts still not working was working when I left the house, I noltice yesterday if I keep working the rocker switch my lights will come on with many trys where should I go from here?

Richard, if you have a test lite,(one with a pointer and lite bulb and about a 3ft cord with alligator clip) hook the alligator clip to a good ground and touch the contacts with the pointer etc to see if and where you have current, be sure engine is running and the work the switch back and forth to see if you can get the test lite to illuminate. I use that type tester way more than the meter to trouble shoot. If you get current in and out of switch not moving it then you know your problem is after switch, if intermitant current then its the switch. Barnie

Hi richard--it could be a ground wire---Seems to me we had a thread a while back about a ground cable somewhere connected to the frame that got kinda loose and got some corrosion under it--look for any cable connected to the frame around the engine and loosen and tighten it --maybe JR can tell us where other grounds are,which it sounds like you got here--these things can make an electrical system do weird things--good luck,fflintstone
