Welcome to the forum, first let me ask some questions. when trying to start scoot does it crank at all or nothing? Do you have kill switch on and brake handle squeezed when trying to start scoot?

You need to take spark plug out and put back into spark plug cap and ground the spark plug, and then crank it to see if you have spark.

You need to trace the ignition coil starting from spark plug back making sure everything is tight.

Could be a bad CDI, I want you to unplug CDI and plug it back in again, make sure everything is tight. And then try to start again.

Check your 15 amp fuse by battery if you have one there. By checking spark with a screw driver you may have blown a fuse. Attachments:

Good, Now I want you to unhook vacuum line from carb, spray carb cleaner in line and put back on and crank it, (it should start or try to) if it's new maybe there isn't enough gas in carb yet.
