ellpee - not really sure if it's the newer 2012 model. It was advertised as a 2012 is really all I know about it. Mine -- Magnum, not Tornado -- has a small metal plate mounted on the dash with a bunch of stamped numbers, one of which is the date of manufacture. RapidJim (I think it was) says they go strictly by year, so if you have a plate and it shows a date in 2012, it's a 2012.

ellpee - yes the date on the plate show 2012 06 28 on the plate. Alleyopp - I took my cam under the fender and it looks a bit alike the pic you posted. Also here is a pic of the dash. Attachments:

Hmm, definitely related to my Magnum, though gauges are quite a bit different. BTW, I posted in a different thread that the trunk on mine fell off three times in one trip; the fastening system just wasn't up to bumpy roads. If yours has a trunk and it attaches like mine, something to be aware of; I drilled extra holes and added a hold-down bolt.

My trunk has 4 bolts going through the inside of the TRUNK to hold it down. Alleyoop

Yes, my Roketa had that arrangement, but the Magnum trunk has three molded-in plastic tabs. Two slip into recesses at the forward end of a metal rack, and the third one then "clicks" into a bracket at the rear end of that rack. After that incident I drilled holes through the bottom of the trunk and the rack, and inserted a small bolt with washers and Loctite to supplement the inadequate attaching system. All good so far, though rain has kept me from doing much scooting. Credit where credit is due, even after tumbling down the middle of the road three times, the trunk did stay closed and locked!
