I just purchased a 2009 (with 1445 miles on it 0 CF Moto 250 t fashion scooter and love it except for one thing that has me worried. When starting out very slowly I hear and feel a chatter and vibration from the scooter. At first I thought it was the rear trunk, but I removed it and the noise is still there. Also when this happens the scoot feels like it's missing a tooth on the gears. All is fine after the engine starts to rev up. No sounds or problems after that. I had a someone look at it and was told this is normal, seems the clutch does not grab right away and then engine must rev up so the springs will engage. But I am still not satisfied with that answer....Anyone have this problem ? or can give me a truer answer... Thanks

It is probably just the 3 shoes in your clutch and clutch bell are a little glazed causing them to chatter a little bit till u get enough rpms to throw the shoes out fully engaging the bell at which time the noise and chatter go away. Seems to be a common problem. You can take the bell off clutch and sand the clutch pads and inside of clutch bell and the problem will go away. If that's works for you it may or may not ever come back. Hopefully some other guys on here will add their comments on your problem. This would be the 1st thing I would look at. Are you going to do your own work or will you have to pay a shop to do it for you. Barnie ;D

I had that on my Roketa 250, probably due to too much "babying" and slow driving while I was getting acquainted with the scoot. I took off the clutch bell and rough-sanded the pads just a bit and it made all the difference in the world. Only problem was getting the nut on the clutch bell loosened -- took a really hefty impact wrench, the factory must have put it on really, REALLY tight. So I second the above advice; try it, you'll probably like it. And after that, don't be too tentative on the throttle when starting up. Don't burn rubber, but don't be too shy either.

[replyingto=alf]alf[/replyingto]1st download this repair manual. Our scoot's are copys of helix. .mediafire.com/view/?f7nqc1qv97uife7" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.mediafire.com/view/?f7nqc1qv97uife72nd Do a complete PDI on it If antifreeze is blue, change it with silica free antifreeze. To do that take your time. It took me 1 whole day to do mine. I used 2gal. distilled water 4oz. vinager to flush it out first. 3rd change all bulbs with led's cause our charging system is a little under powered & needs all the help it can get. 4th When you have to replace your battery get a 10ah or 12ah that will fit your scoot.
