Been having trouble with scoot shutting off, here is pic of my Fuel Pump, I didn't put this on, it was already on scoot when I bought it. Is this hooked up right. As you are looking at it, the hose at 10 o'clock is vacuum, the hose at 11 o'clock is fuel line going to carb, the hose at 1 o'clock is fuel line from gas tank, Attachments:

I turned the a/f 1/4 turn leaner, didn't help, so I turned back 1/8 turn going up hill shuts off, I don't understand when it shuts off it takes forever to restart, that happened about 1/2 hour ago, still can't start, why does it take so long to start, it the pump is squiring, (not a lot) like its pulsating.

Yesterday, check spark plug after it won't start, (yep, dry) this morning still won't start, took top of diaphragm off sprayed carb clean in, started right up, test driving again this morning, not sure if it the pump yet.

Well that sounds more like the ENRICHER for colds starts is not working if it started when you squirted some fuel in. So take the enricher off and check to see if it is EXTENDED OUT when cold. If you could take a picture of it when you take it out I will be able to tell if it is extended or not. Alleyoop

Hi Alleyoop, Yes it wouldn't start, but I did have the fuel line off pump and was cranking to see if any was coming out, maybe it had to be re-primed, the enricher after scoots running gets warm, re-did the process to get the highest RPM's, took test drive up chickaree again, this time had good throttle and didn't run out of throttle, took to town about 5 miles away had no problems, about the only thing I had to do after this adjustment is turn the idle down (maybe I finally hit the right spot)

GREAT!! Sounds like you did hit the right spot. They are picky for starting when cold if the adjustment is to far off one way or the other I can tell you that(HEHE). Alleyoop

I think the first time I didn't count the 10 seconds, this time I made sure of that, I'll see how it starts tomorrow morning, I'm just about half afraid to touch them now HEHE.
