Here's the issue: Serviced the old Tank after sitting all winter and got it ready to ride. Rode to my brother's and back with no problem. Went back into the garage a couple of minutes after I got home and fuel was literally pouring out of the 'overflow' tube on the carb. Pinched off the fuel line, removed carb and checked float and needle. Put everything back together, started the motor back up and everything was fine. Started it this morning to ride to work and I no sooner rocked it off the center stand and had the fuel dump issue again. Apparently float/needle issues? 18,000 miles; think maybe it's time for a carb rebuild kit or new carb?

you may want to replace your petcock as well if it is dumping feul with the motor off then the setcock is not shutting the flow off as it should
