ok another update, i put an actual plug in it rather than a plug tester, nice blue spark, if i put my iver the plug hole and crank it over, it blows my finger off. however it will not fire worth anything, I put gas in carb, nothing.. put gas in cylinder, nothing. i can smell it burning, and the plug is dry afterwards, but no fire. what am i doing wrong here??

Did you test for SPARK ON THE MOTOR, it may spark on the frame but not on the motor. It could be that the ground wire from the frame to the motor is not makeing good contact and it will not spark on the motor. Alleyoop
