I just bought this Chinese scooter, its a Verucci challenger. 49cc, it has no spark, anybody know that the specs are for ohms in primary and secondary coil? how many psi of compression these have? any help is greatly appreciated i cant find a manual anywhere. D1E41QMB engine. 108 ohms on primary coil, 1ohm on lighter coil. 8ohm on secondary igniter coil. is my primary coil bad?i have a constant very low voltage to my secondary coil, whether the key is on or not, Ive tried hot wiring key and didn't work. any suggestions? thanks

Here is the wireing diagram for scooters with the D1E41QMB motor. Check the Killswitch. Alleyoop

ok that could be my problem, because i cannot find any kill switch other than the key, where is it located on the bike? thanks for the help, that wiring diagram will help even tho its basic. the ohms on that coil dont seem too out of whack?

ok, I pulled the handlebar cover, first thing i noticed was a push button, that wasn't connected to anything at all.. when the key is on, if i push it it shuts everything off. but it wasn't connected to anything, i hot wired it and moved on. also im getting no power to my headlight. a hint or does it have to be running to get power to it? allmy other lights horn and stuff work without it running.

loving the wire diagram, i cant seem to find any of this, running to the secondary ignition coil(the "completing coil"),there is a red/black wire. on the diagram it says a white wire should connect there, there is a white wire comming out of the stator assembly. is that the wrong wire hooked up there?? if i hook multimeter up to the black/red wire and then to ground, i get .4ohm with key off and about 30 with it on.

ok so I changed out the secondary coil with one i had sitting around, off a chaparral 440 snowmobile...idk how much you guys know about bigger engines, but that's all Ive ever worked on. but I'm getting some voltage through the coil now, enough to poke me if i stick my finger in there(my fav way to test for spark lol) but not enough to throw a spark when i hook up the spark tester. Is this coil just not compatible? not dropping enough charge for this small engine or something? thanks

Well sounds like the button you found was the KILL SWITCH trace the wire and see if it goes inbetween the wire going to the PLUG. Can you take a picture of the coil that was on there. Most say that on the This motor the stator usually goes bad pretty quick due to the wireing being very thin and the wires break. I think you are going to have to dish out for a new stator and even a coil for it. Alleyoop

here is a pick of the secondary coil and the stator.. the stator looks good, no heat marks or anything but yaknever know. my lighter coil work great. wish i could buy only a igniter coil. ill probably start by buying a new secondary coil(high performance American made) then see where it goes from there, if i have to buy a primary coil ill prolly try to buy a ricks performance coil and try to make it fit...let me know whatya think. uuupdate! i bout a new soconday coil, slapped it on there, and im getting spark! but veeerryy weak. not enough to fire even. im getting 110ohm through my primary, supposed to be getting 150. i think thats my problem, these are recondition able aren't they? can i take it apart reseal and rewind? Ive read of people redoing stators, which is almost the same thing, this should even be easier. thanks. I really dont want to shell out 50 bucks for a new stator
