Yes it appears that things didn't turn out like Mike intended?

.scootdawg.net/showthread.php?t=52783" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.scootdawg.net/showthread.php?t=52783This guy cracks me up! Deleted all the old post and material and now tells all they can bring their posts back to the net site. Now mind you one can post his/her material there, no doubt because as we all know the material you post by the TOS on a Proboard's forum is yours. But what I find funny is a person wanting to have a scooter forum, now reduced to less than 1k in members wanting any material from the old forum he said was a sorry forum and his was so much better? If you're a scooter man why not just make and gather up material out on the net and put it on your forum. I mean the material you can find and stuff to make your own articles, tech info/how to is endless. Not a day goes by that I don't run across something new. If the new dawg.net is so much better then put better material in it. JR

Hi I cant believe that this has become such a passionate battle, friends and members fighting amongst one another, tempers lost and things said in the heat of the moment that should never have been said to any one, I'm sorry to say of guilty of all those as well And to those Ive disrespected I'm very sorry, Bong a special apology to you my friend i don't know how things got so quickly and badly out of hand , but I'm sorry for the things Ive said i hope you feel the same We've been friends for quite some time, i surely don't want to throw away all that over this I think we all need to just step back and let those that are in control of the outcome of the forums bash it out themselves and all of us just focus on why most of us our here Our common passion and love of scoots and motorbikes ,So i for one am only going to focus on helping out when able, being entertaining when i can and all ways be a a friend and comrade to those that share these same views I Know I'm not responding to any more threads or posts about this particular touchy subject after this posting Lets hope this is all over one way or the other fairly quickly I shall post this in the other forums as well Take care and ride safely dear friends Yours Hank

I cant believe that this has become such a passionate battleHank I think I can answer this question and it is puzzling at times. We don't have to go through all the what happened when and next drama again if you've been on a scooter forum lately and are breathing you already know that for sure! Basically people especially people who get used to a routine and know their way around don't like change, at least a all of a sudden change. When the new forum came up and said click on this link to the new site, it was almost like going from your own living room to the kitchen and finding it nothing like you knew the night before you went to bed, it was that drastic for some. Then one couldn't simply login like on the old forum and a lot of people who don't frequent other forums with other software couldn't figure out how and why they were now having to reset their long time password, after all when they went to bed that night the next morning Dawg as they knew it wasn't no more. Then add the fact of no notice, no warning, nothing except here is your new better forum even added to the lets say discomfort. It made some mad, some glad, some wondering what in the world, some just wanting to go back to the way it was, in other words a huge sea of emotions and feelings. Then came the questions and intervention of Proboards and the old forum being re-opened but even still today in a cloud of uncertainty and even today one can still wonder about it's future. Vendors have been involved and everyday members have even been involved to save what they have known so long as Scootdawg and don't want to change. Put that together with people who love the change and don't want to go back and a owner/admin who again doesn't seem to be in the picture or care and it all boils down to a huge controversy to many. Some can just talk about it, some get mad, some are sad, some say the heck with it all but you hit the nail on the head my friend IMO with the word Passionate. Some people are passionate about even a forum on the internet full of people they have never laid an eye on but talk to often on a forum. Some people actually feel like they were be-friended when the old dawg shut down, may sound crazy but it's true. We all don't have to be told what passion can make people do, say, think or even act sometimes good but yes sometimes bad. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. JR

Well another way to look at it all is that it gives some people something to do. And it woke up a few people that were sleeping.
