it comes right off of the valve cover in just dangles but it has a clip like it was plugged into something

Is the hose attached to and L connector on the valve cover which is on the top side of the Valve cover? If so that is the Vent Hose for the Motor. If it is just zip tie the Hose High on the Frame and put a Fuel Filter on the end of it so it does not squirt oil out all over your motor or underneath. Alleyoop  |

yes. has a clamp on the end like it was connected to something also looks melted at the end. The end that hangs that is
