This thing sux lol. Problem after problem.... it fell over and ripped the tube from the carb to the air box. wouldnt idle. bought a pod filter. starts up idles.. sweet. ride 2 miles on the way to business meeting for work.... its ruuning great like the new filter and she dies.. im doin 40 and she just turned off. pulled over and notta. nothing at all. i checked everything franticly EXCEPT the fuse. was 30 mins late to the meeting. thought about the fuse at work. i went to the bike via a friend in a car and it was dark i looked at the fuse and it seemed under moonlight to be blown. Swapped it out and guess what.... NO ******* keys!!!!! left them on the desk at work. friend didnt wanna go back. So my scoot at this point may still not even start. im gonna go by tonight. i pray its there.... would the filter have messed anything up? i really thought when i invested all i had in this awsome scoot w/ 300 miles i could trust it but at this point it has left me hanging too many times....... i have some thinking to do i guess

So the original problem after it fell over was what I thought it was, makes sense the way it was acting: thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=chineseclassroom&thread=2249&page=1#15946Now the No Start, First thing to check is for SPARK, take the plug out or if you have a SPARE PLUG just take the BOOT CAP off the one on the motor and stick the SPARE PLUG in the boot and hold it against the VALVE COVER OR MOTOR and crank it and see if it is SPARKING. IF it does not SPARK then HOLD IT ON THE FRAME and crank it and see if it Sparks on the frame. If no spark on either check the Wires that plug into the COIL maybe one of them came loose and or came off. Get back on the above checks. Alleyoop

okay. At this point I I did take an extra plugs stick it in the boot in got sport. Change this cylinoid with a brand new 1 anyways still got spark. so I went ahead and put starter fluid in the car nothing. Take out the spark plug in noticed it was smashed the element was at the tip anyways. So I was like damn you looked at it it's also burnt really bad on the ceramic. So I put a new plug in nothing to can you plug out it's also smashed. Any ideas?

also when I put the starter fluid in I noticed it coming out in bursts every time the starter turn engine over. It was coming out of the hole in the plastic cover where the spark plug goes not sure if some got in there in the fan was blowing it out out if there isactually a hole in the enginelol. it is way too cold outside I'm going to wait for a reply before I take anything apart. edit: the plug on the left is only a few weeks old. . The 1 on the right is the 1 the bike came with only had 300 miles on it. the only thing I can think of is that I got about 82 inch piece of electrical tape in the engine bore through the spark plug hole 1 first first got the scooter

I regapped the plugand put it back into re send me later problem twice and it did not happen. Maybe I matched it down when I was putting the plugin in the first plug was already screwed up and I did not notice. I also sprayed the starter fluid straight into the board through the spark plug hole in it acted like you wanted to start for second I wasn't able to get much in there I'm going to try to find a strong try again and see what happens I'll fill you in

looks like the reach of the spark plug is to long get a new plug and put the extra plug gaskets off the old plugs on the new plug that should keep the gap from being closed up by the piston hopefully you have not damage the piston

well my issue with that is it's been running perfect for a while so I don't think it's a problem with spark plug plus it has not done it again I'm trying to 3 * so far 1 time I actually gapped it a lot more than it was supposed to be to see if it would change it and it did not. I think when I put the plug in it was already screwed up and I just did not notice. The scooter still does not start over I squirted starter fluid Street in the spark plug hole in acted like you wanted to start for just a second but it did not. There's definitely gas in the filter I can see a difference in the amount so I know it's getting gas to it. I don't know what you think my spark is really strong I can see it bright even in the daylight. a covered up the intake to the car to see if it was a choke problem and no difference at all. the bank only have 700 miles so I really don't think it's a problem with the compression. Also I can hear the compression so I know I think I'm good as far as that goes so that covers Sport fuel compression air, what else is there?

I think about it the more I'm pretty sure to ignition related. There's no reason for that spark plug to look bad bad after only 401.1 miles

QUESTIONS:
1. Do you have a Spark Plug Gap tool? If so gap it at .28. 2. Also what kind of spark plugs are you using and the NUMBER OF THE PLUG. 3. That black stuff on the PLUG is it OIL or IS IT SOOTY STUFF?
The plug is difintely fouled JUST HOPE is it because it is TO RICH. TO MUCH GAS and it will Flood the SPARK PLUG and cause it not to fire. Alleyoop

yes the spark plug is gap correct. And 1 spark plug is a denso u22fs meant for a gy6 150 cc the other is a knock off brand came with the scooter. Both still spark the 1 that came with the scooter is the 1 that is not black. It is still a really good plug in my opinion. And as far as the black stuff I'm pretty sure it is sooty. it does not wipe off. So what do I do next?

Ok, since you say it is not oil then lets assume it is flooding. So turn the FUEL RATIO screw CLOCKWISE UNTIL IT STOPS and COUNT THE NUMBER OF TURNS it took for the screw to stop DO NOT FORCE it just until it stops. Then turn it COUNTER CLOCKWISE HALF of the TURNS it took to close it and try that.
Once we get it to start and Run we can fine tune the Carb. Alleyoop

HAHAHA, Yes kickstart should also start the motor if all is cool.
How many turns did it take to STOP? Just So I get an IDEA of what other possible things can be wrong. Alleyoop
