I'm having seat locking problems and instead of taking the compartment under the seat out which is major, I figured just cut a hole with an angle grinder for easy access and removal. Once the side cover is back no "damage" is visible. Attachments:

Yep, anything to make it easier I say. For many I suggest to cut out the bottom of the PAN to get at the top of the motor and then just get a piece of plexaglass or something strong and then lay it over the cutout holding it down with two screws. Alleyoop
