I have a 2008 Cyprus (Linhai motor) with about 9,500 miles on it that has started to develop quirk with its headlights. The headlights' brightness will greatly vary in intensity for no apparent reason.
They sometimes come on brightly when the bike is started and then go dim, or they sometimes start out dim and brighten up. The speed of the engine does NOT affect the brightness of the lights (i.e., they don't get brighter when the engine revs up).
This happens when the battery is fully charged and when it is not.
The brightness of the headlights is mirrored by the brightness of the blue indicator light on the dash. If the headlights are dim, the indicator light is dim. If the headlights are bright, the indicator light is bright.
None of the other dashboard lights change in brightness at all.
They get so dim that it becomes unsafe to drive at night because other vehicles can't see me coming.

I would check your ground wires, check wires going into the regulator, check those connection at headlights, do you have a fuse box or just the one by the battery and starter relay? If you have fuse box check those connection under the fuse box, they are known to come loose, or not making the right contact

It could be the DIODE going south or wires corroded not making good contact. Alleyoop

I think I can help you with this.
Recently, I had the same problem that you had. It wound up to be both the stator and regulator. You will have to start testing your electrical system.
Look into testing the different voltages coming from the stator. Your best way is to do it with the plug unplugged. The reading should be taken in AC volts and they all should be equal. At about 40 volts or better.
Next test the voltages out of the regulator. These should be in DC volts and again, should be equal as well. These should be at or around 13.7
