Larry was a good guy and I also remember the "who shot JR" thing, it was a blast! The whole world stood still for that one moment when it was revealed. No one cared who it was they just wanted the answer of who? Very few people on this earth have had such a moment, it was truly his moment to shine.
2012 has been the year that we have lost so many of my youth's actors, time never stops moving and peace to you JR "Larry Hagman"

JR's most famous words "Don't forgive, don't forget and do onto others before they do onto you"
I will never forget the night when a friend and I as young boys crashed the car into a lamp post bringing down a heavy transformer mounted on top of the two parallel wooden poles and thereby causing a massive power outage right on time when "Dallas" was been aired. We were not very popular in the small seaside community. As terrilee so rightly put it, that was a long long time ago.
