Well, it's been 3 weeks since I installed the re-worked Clutch Driven Pulley on my Motor Scooter, and everything is still A-OK. No Shuddering (knock on wood) I haven't been riding all that much, I have only ridden about 135 miles in the past 3 weeks, but I think that it is a good sign that I haven't felt any shuddering so far. I have only ridden about 135 miles in the past 3 weeksNow nobody more than me wants him to have no more problems but when he tells me he has 1135 miles and no problems I'll get my bib on, and enjoy my plate of crow! JR

I do NOT expect it to last forever I am sure some shuddering will show it's face again due to wear and dust from the belt and pads that will make the pads not move so freely. But just a good cleaning again will eliminate the shuddering once again and now he knows exactly what needs to be done just like adjusting your valves. Alleyoop

Adjusting the valves on the linhai goes longer and longer last time I did it was at 9500 miles and hadn't touched them since aroud 3500.
But with over 12k on her now I've never done one thing to my clutch except at 5k I pulled it apart and did a good PM on it, not that I was having any problems just do PM because it's a good thing to do. So this is still a mystery on this shudder with two clutches when I've got tow of these exact scooters that has never done this one time.
Like I said and with Chinese stuff it's always possible to get two faulty clutches like anything else I'm still not certain this is al;l there is to it? I'm still concerned about the tranny but again I'm really hoping this is the problem, one so he can enjoy his scooter and two it's good he hasn't been out any money on this.

The comment about the valves was just to point out that maintence and or adjustements are needed once in awhile to keep things running good. I know what slipping gears and jumping from a start feel like and the nasty teeth grinding they make. My trike was missing the Idler Gear Support Bearing so any good hard load off the line it would move and not mesh with the Drive Gear. If it was his tranny gears the cleaning and lubing job on the clutch would not have any effect on stopping the shuddering. As it turned out cleaning and smoothing things out in the clutch he now has stopped the shuddering on slow starts case closed. Alleyoop
