here's a copy of the letter and pics i sent to the magazine that 1st published my 'cat run' photo shoot im thinking of starting a biz doing this.
my name is Terri S and you published my 'cat run' a few months ago. Well I've added to it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im going to show before and after pics. I found 2 boxes of the "6 cube storage wire" at a garage sale for $4 each and then after installing them, I went and bought 2 more. So like $60 for all If you remember the original grass area, it was only one cube high. I left all the zip ties on to show people that you do have to use a TON of 'em. s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=CATYARD013.jpgwell I was tired of seeing the kids not being able to sit up so I added a 2nd level. And pushed the corner over. So they could sit up and a bit more of that corner s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=019-4.jpgAs you mentioned in the 1st article, sometimes things don’t work perfectly, so you just have to 'rig' it. s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=020-3.jpgI had some extra, so I went up into the "tent-garage" for my scooter, and actually it stuck out the back of the 'tent-garage" a few inches and I had enough pieces to make a 2 x 2 square. Not very big s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=021-3.jpgSo I went and bought 2 more boxes. Made another jump down spot {so now there's 2} I went from the new jump down area { and again it wasn’t perfect, there was a 2 inch gap at the bottom so I had to use a whole piece on each side- zip tied very well} to the one sticking out of the garage, connected them. and behind the 'tent-garage' then up the other side. So now the lil "furry kids" can almost go in a circle, have plenty of room to play. Now if I could figure out a way to connect the 2 sides, where I push my scooter in and out of the 'tent-garage'. But that’s another day. LOL s1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=023-3.jpgs1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=024-4.jpgs1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=025-3.jpgs1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=026-2.jpgs1071.photobucket.com/albums/u514/terri_leeS/?action=view¤t=030-2.jpg Hope u decide to publish my newest addition and if you do can you send me a link??? thanks terri s. jeannette

Terrile very, very creative!! I'm not a big cat person, love my Yorkies but if I was a cat I would for sure want you as a owner! It doesn't matter what animal one really likes best taking so good of care of them is so great to see. I take very good care of my Yorkies they are like family. One of mine got sick recently with a severe intestinal infection, took lots of medicine and caring and $225 to go with it but he's now well and as good as new. Good job Terrilee! JR

Man that is alot of storage cubes. I bet the cats love it. One of my beagles has had 5000.00 of back surgery. Worth every penny. Gotta love the fur kids w/no limits.

Just checked, homedepot have plenty of ducting usually in store, sizes from 4-12 inch, 8" seems to be a decent size without it being to costly and all but the fattest cats should manage to get through that.

maui yes i had been looking at all kinds of ducting, etc. and your idea of going up and over, sounds great, and id love to do that BUT OMG, it would have to be steps up on both sides, and then i'd have to use wood on the bottoms of steps so its not wire, that their paws could slip thru, and if in a hurry, break a leg. and ALOT of storage cubes. and im not sure the older cats would go up and over. that why im trying to stick with clear plastic pipe, like 12" diam. and , yea id have to have two boards with some kind of clips on 'em for the couple minutes im pushing "Chrissy" out or in.
i'd love to find something clear, thick plastic. im not sure if they would like aluminum, might be scared, ill keep looking
thanks for the tips
