Chris check all the connections on the solenoid and the battery and even the ground cable off of the battery, just may be a bad or dirty connection. Do you have a battery charger?

Check to see if touching both terminals on the Solenoid will spin the starter. Your Battery is either to weak or the Solenoid is going SOUTH. Usually if you hear Clicking from the SOLENOID and when you Touch both Terminals with a screwdriver or piece of wire or pliers and IT SPINS your Starter then you know you either have a bad connection from battery to Solenoid, or the SOLENOID is bad or going bad. Then it is your battery or bad battery connections BUT from what you mentioned in your previous respond YOUR BATTERY has POOPED out. Do you have a kickstart on that scoot you can use the KICKSTARTER if it is working. Alleyoop

THE BENDIX is for the ELECTRIC START ONLY, IT has nothing to do with the KICKSTARTER. Also you probably DID NOT NEED a BENDIX it is just probably your battery. So get a NEW BATTERY at least a 7AMP battery. Alleyoop

Did you get a 7AMP battery? and what CCAs does it say it has.
The really cheap batteries have very LOW CCAs(COLD CRANKING AMPS) and they cannot take a lot of cranking before needing to be re-charged.
Could be flooded all to heck take the SPARK PLUG out and crank it over and see if fuel spits out of the spark plug hole. Then Put the plug back in and try it. Now you know using the Electric Start you ONLY CRANK it for like 10 or so seconds and stop that is because the starter will get really hot and may burn up. Alleyoop
