I've read about the sonic spark plugs, they seem to cause a sonic boom (caused by the spark), which should diffuse gasoline to a molecular level (according to them).
I can see where it could benefit direct injection, as the fuel might be injected in small drops. However with fuel injection the fuel is nearly fog that's injected in the cylinder.
Would I benefit from a spark plug like that on my bike?

If their claims are right you would benefit, but you probably would not be able to tell with out some sophisticated equipment. I read one claim of 5-7 hp on a 350cubic inch engine. An engine probably varies more than that on just temp/humidity variations in normal driving. Reading on it seems they drill or laser a hole in the ground electrode. That could make the area around the hole weaker and prone to burning off. Also if your engine has the slightest tendency to make deposits on the plug I would guess that tiny hole would end up plugged up quick too. It would be interesting to see some one here give one a try on a scooter though. I for one would be very interested to see the results. I just doubt if I could tell I had a couple percent increase in power on any thing I drive or ride. john

One other thing about these ad on power increases, about 30-40 years ago jc whitney/warshawski in chicago used to sell a host of devices each to give big increases in engine power. ionisers for the gas, power ring for the carb, little propellers to go under the carb, ignitions, additives for gas and oil....must of been 10 to 20 of these you could invest in, each to give 5 and 10% and more. adding up all the extra power you should have been able to double the output of your car. Never heard of any one that did though.

Thanks for your opinion! Looks to me like it's more trouble than benefits.

I just read, that the improvements they post on their website, are usually for 4 to 8 cylinder cars. I can imagine they are way less on a single cylinder.
