justbuggin2, we did that part. LOL Got the identical pump from a chevy. But now we've found both o-rings leaking and possibly the fuel pressure regulator also bad. So far, no cross reference found for them.

Got this big girl up and rollin' today!! Dwayne got the new fuel pump assembly put in, fired right up. Changed the oil, transmission oil, and the gear oil in the rear end. Took her out for a spin, let me tell you what! That thing got up to 52 MPH in less than a quarter block! Need some advice, when you let off the gas, it slows down real quick, like the brake comes on. You can feel it shift down, when it gets to second, it shifts down too early, causes you to almost run into your windshield. Same thing happens about 15-20 when it shifts to first gear. It will release and free wheel at a point of it's choosing, but it makes for some quick stops. We may just drive her up to the dealer and have them test drive it for us. Anyone have any ideas where to start? Dwayne's reading the service manual you pointed me to JR. Thanks again. ;

Having never rode a burgy 650 can't tell you anything about it,.....but with a majesty 400 I seldom hit the brakes, can almost always slow with the engine to a light or stop sign. It sounds as yours has more engine braking than you want. Getting a dealer or individual who owns one to ride it is what I would do too. When your engine goes to idle the clutch should be kicked out and you should coast forever.

Thanks jct842. I called the dealer, and of course they want an hours labor to test drive and give me reccomendations on what it might need. To the tune of $85! Jesh, I know your time is important and all, but we do a used car inspection for $30! Any who, we'll get them to take a look at it for us in a couple of days. Working on getting the Great Grape up and together. Tupperware looks good in purple on a MC54B!
