I am wondering if anyone has a parts supplier, trusted, for parts for an Avanti GT 150cc scooter? The last time I ordered parts, had a little trouble with the dealer not having the parts in stock and not informing us it would take 4 weeks to come from China! We understand the wait on some of these things, but let your customer know. Anyway, any solid leads on a good parts supplier would be appreciated.

Right now, just the variator weights. Maybe more once we tear into her. ; The rear end was "growling" and then it got bad enough the electric start didn't work, had to kick start. Now it's frozen up/ locked up, even the kick start won't "kick". We haven't got her open to see what all is wrong yet. Trying to find a supplier before we get too far in. Don't want her torn down for too long. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

Open the cvt cover and remove the belt. See if that frees things up.

Ok Sugarscoot found some info and this guy is on to something here; .scooterbbs.net/board/DCForumID13/143.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.scooterbbs.net/board/DCForumID13/143.htmlHe made this statement and he is right. My Avanti GT150 which is manufactured by Taizhou Chuanl is the same scoot as the Vento. How do I know? Well, in the Avanti Manual it says to take to a Vento dealer for service. I guess that's not a guarantee but it is as close to it as I can find. Also, I went to the Vento website which has all the parts diagrams on their site and they are the exact diagrams that appear in my Avanti Parts Catalogue that came with the bike. Not similar, exact. Avanti does have a website. The scooter I got looks exactly the same as the one on the Avanti site - Blue/Silver. I just ordered the 12V 18/18 watt headlights through Vento and they are due to arrive today. $4 bucks each plus shipping. Bought 4 for $25 delivered. There is no website or home for Avanti scooters even though there is a Avanti Motorcycle Company. So I went a step farther and looked up Vento: .vento.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.vento.com/They have a dealer locator by state and there are 3 dealers in Louisiana so maybe they can tell you something. From what I can see ost of the scooter is typical Chinese GY-6 and 2T but who knows. If this doesn't help let me know and I'll holler at the Big Guy in New Orleans and I'm sure he'll know something. Since the bike only has about 2000 miles on it, I'd say you were right JR! This should never have happened. Glad my SugarScoot's a little tougher than that! Stuff like this is what gives these little rice grinders a bad name.

Okay, this is a question from Cathy, not Dwayne. I'm chasing this part while he works on cars. Does the part I need come with the clutch or not?!! I can't find what they call it in any of the pictures I find. Most sites say the "clutch" comes with the clutch and pulley, but no drum. Is this what I need, the pulley right?! The photos are so confusing, show the part on some, not on others on the same site, so I guess I just need to call them and fax them a photo of what we need to be sure we get it. Thanks for the help JR and tvnacman.

Cool, so the complete clutch assembly has the sheave in it then? If so, it would be cheaper to buy the assembly anyway! LOL
